20 years after the launch of the famous Touche Éclat concealer/highlighter YSL have finally finished creating a foundation to go alongside it. The classic Touche Éclat is sold every 10 seconds and this foundation is rumoured to have been 10 years in the making, so you can imagine the high expectations.
Le Teint Touche Éclat will be available in an amazing 22 shades to cater to all different skin tones. YSL describe the foundation as an “Illuminating foundation, dimensional radiance, weightless perfection”. Most foundations in the market include an opaque powder in the ingredients which can often make the foundation look ‘cakey’ or can create a mask effect, especially on darker skins. YSL succeeded in resolving this by replacing the powder with a soft focus gel, which smoothes away any imperfections on the skin without masking it.
We were lucky enough to try the foundation and are happy to tell you… it’s amazing! It’s everything we’d hoped it would be. Just like the Touche Éclat, it illuminates the skin leaving you looking radiant. We found it best to apply with fingers as it really melts into the skin. The colour range is fantastic, which makes a nice change in the foundation world.
The pre launch of this foundation will be on 28th June exclusively to Selfridges and Brown Thomas and will then be available nationwide from 9th July. It will cost a reasonable £28.
