The launch of the Real Techniques brushes was possibly one of the most exciting things to happen in the blog community last year. Samantha Chapman, one half of Pixiwoo, created the brushes herself using the makeup artistry skills she developed over the past years.
There are 6 individual brushes available and 3 sets and the prices range from £6.99 to £20.99. The star brushes include the Buffing brush, which can be found in the Core Collection, the Stippling brush and the Deluxe Crease brush which is from the Starter Set. The brushes are made from synthetic Taklon bristles so they are 100% cruelty-free. Because the hairs are synthetic, these brushes are easy to clean and are also great to use with cream and liquid products.
The UK high street took note of the online buzz and finally jumped on board the Real Techniques wagon. The brushes are now stocked in selected Boots or can be found online here. I’ve also heard that Samantha will be in the Oxford Circus Boots branch on Friday 13th, so if you want to meet her, get down there!
Have you tried these brushes yet? What did you think of them?
